The arc suppression reactor, also known as the arc suppression coil, is connected between the neutral point and the ground of the three-phase transformer to supply inductive current when one phase of the three-phase power grid is grounded to compensate the capacitance flowing through the ground point. Therefore, the arc is not easily ignited continuously, thereby eliminating the overvoltage caused by the multiple re-ignition of the arc.
